Terms of Service

1. Who we are
Flavourpal is operated by Whiskykalendern AB (org. nr 559117-4056), Västra Storgatan 9, 633 42 Eskilstuna, Sweden. Contact: info@whiskykalendern.se. This is also our official point of contact for the purposes of the Digital Services Act (Art. 11 and 12), in English or Swedish.
How we handle your personal data is set out in our Privacy Policy. The companies that process data on our behalf, where they are located and links to their own data-processing terms are listed on our subprocessors page.
2. Who may use Flavourpal
Flavourpal is a whisky community for adults. You must be at least the minimum age for your market — 20 in Sweden, Norway, Iceland and Finland, 21 in the United States, and 18 elsewhere. We ask you to confirm this yourself; giving a false confirmation is a breach of these terms.
3. Memberships and payment
- Flavourpal offers a free tier and paid Premium and VIP memberships, available monthly or yearly. The current price, billing period and what each tier includes are always shown before you pay, and that is the price that applies.
- Payments are handled by Stripe. Memberships renew automatically at the end of each period unless cancelled.
- You can cancel at any time from Settings, through the billing portal. Cancellation stops the next renewal; your membership stays active until the end of the period you have paid for.
- Prices are shown including VAT where VAT applies to you. Any applicable VAT is calculated and displayed at checkout before you confirm.
- If you delete your account while a membership is running, it is cancelled immediately and the remaining paid time is not refunded. Cancel instead of deleting if you want to keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.
- If you have earned money as a creator, deleting your account does not forfeit it. We pay out any unpaid balance as part of closing your account, with no minimum applied, and where that is not possible we contact you to arrange payment.
4. Your right to withdraw
If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA, you have the right to withdraw from a purchase within 14 days without giving any reason (Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU).
- To withdraw, tell us before the 14 days are up — an email to info@whiskykalendern.se is enough. You may use the model withdrawal form but you do not have to.
- We refund within 14 days of being told, using the same payment method.
- Immediate access: a membership gives you digital content straight away. Where you ask us to begin immediately and acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal once the service has been fully performed, that waiver applies. Unless you have given that acknowledgement explicitly, your full 14-day right of withdrawal remains.
- Where the service has only partly been provided, we may charge a proportionate amount for what you used before withdrawing.
5. Content rules
You keep ownership of what you post, and you are responsible for it. You grant us a licence to display it on Flavourpal so the service can function.
You may not post content that:
- is unlawful, or infringes someone else's rights;
- harasses, threatens or targets another person;
- offers alcohol for sale between private individuals where that is unlawful in the relevant market;
- promotes excessive or harmful drinking, or is directed at people under the legal age;
- is spam, or impersonates another person or organisation.
6. Reporting content, and how we decide
- Anyone can report content they consider unlawful or against these rules, using the report control on the content itself, or by emailing us (Digital Services Act Art. 16).
- We review reports without undue delay and in a non-arbitrary way.
- If we remove content, restrict its visibility, or suspend an account, we tell the person affected what we did and why, and how to contest it (Art. 17).
- You can reply to any such decision by emailing us; we will look at it again. You may also take the matter to a court or an out-of-court dispute settlement body.
- We may suspend accounts that repeatedly post manifestly illegal content, after warning.
7. AI features
Parts of Flavourpal use AI systems — shelf scanning, list import, and the Flavourpal Expert voice assistant. Their output can be inaccurate and is offered as assistance, not as advice you should rely on. You confirm AI-suggested bottles yourself before they are added to your cellar. See our Privacy Policy for what is processed and by whom.
8. Member marketplace
Lagerhus lets approved members share and discuss bottles between themselves. Flavourpal is not a party to any arrangement between members, does not sell alcohol, and does not act as an intermediary for payment between members. You are responsible for complying with the alcohol laws of your own country, which in many markets prohibit private sale. Sweden restricts the sale of alcohol to licence holders, so Lagerhus must not be used to sell alcohol to or from Sweden. We may remove listings and suspend accounts that do.
9. Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time from Settings. We keep payment and payout records for 7 years because Swedish accounting law requires it; everything else is deleted or anonymised. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, and will tell you why.
10. Liability, changes and law
- Flavourpal is provided as-is. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your statutory consumer rights.
- We will give notice of material changes to these terms before they take effect.
- These terms are governed by Swedish law. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer rules of the country where you live, and you may bring proceedings there.
- EU consumers can also use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform.
